The Blues Is A Way Of Life,Live It.

Our Mission

To promote the blues and culture of blues music in the

Metro Jackson area and the Central Mississippi region
through:
1) Promotion of local artists, as well as regional and
national talent.
2) Fostering an appreciation of the blues and
educating the public about the blues.
3) Supporting charitable and educational activities useful to
the individual and beneficial to the communities served by
the program, and to engage in any lawful activity for which
corporations may be formed under the Mississippi Nonprofit
Corporations Act, to the extent that such activities are permitted
under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code ("IRC").
All references herein to the IRC shall be deemed to refer to the Internal Revenue
Code of 1986, as amended, and the Treasury Regulations promulgated there
under, as are now in force or hereafter amended, modified or supplemented.

B. To support musicians and blues clubs by encouraging live

performances of blues.

C. To exchange information about blues-related events by providing a
forum in The Central Mississippi area where people can share their
appreciation and love for the blues.

D. To support community events and organizations by sponsoring events
that will benefit the general community as a whole

Why become a member of the Central MS Blues Society, Inc?

1. Helping to underwrite our mission of Keeping the Blues Alive in Central Mississippi through our various programs like Blue Monday, Youth Blues at Stewpot, various activities with another wonderful music group, Music-N-Motion and more.

2. Reduced admission to Blue Monday ($3.00 - regular admission is $5.00)

3. Become actively involved in our mission by holding office in the organization; volunteering at our special activities and events; grant-writing, etc.

4. Making visible your love of the Blues and your commitment to Keeping the Blues Alive!

How to Join or Renew:

2. come to Blue Monday and give your check to CMBS Treasurer Frances T. Flemmings at the door

3. Mail your check made out to Central MS Blues Society, Inc. for the amount relevant to your membership category to:
